"Return dragged on and I feel like some compensation is fair"
I ordered a Scalextric set from scalextric.com, but one of the cars wasn’t working properly so I had to send it back. Filling in the return form was straightforward, but once I’d posted it off, it felt like everything just went quiet for far too long.
I ended up emailing twice just to find out what was going on, and the refund took much longer than I’d expected. They did sort it eventually, which is why I’m giving 2 stars, but the whole thing was slow and frustrating, and I’d expect some kind of goodwill gesture or compensation for all the chasing around.

One of the cars I ordered wasn’t working properly, which was a bit of a nightmare at first. I reached out to support and they got back to me after a couple of days, then sorted out a replacement. It wasn’t lightning fast or anything, but they did handle it fairly in the end, so I can’t complain too much.

One of the cars wasn’t running properly straight out of the box, which was a bit annoying. I contacted scalextric and, to be fair, they got back to me after a couple of days and sent out a replacement part. Bit of a faff at the start, and whoever runs this could probably make the process smoother, but it got sorted in the end and I’m happy enough.

"Website was such a pain to use"
I tried ordering a couple of bits but the website was doing my head in. Some pages took ages to load, the filters kept randomly resetting, and half the time I couldn’t tell what was actually in stock and what wasn’t.
Checkout wasn’t much better either. I got an error with no real explanation and then had to type my details in Again, which was just annoying. ended up giving up in the end, which is bad for such a Big Brand.

"Delivery was a little slow"
I ordered from scalextric.com and everything did actually arrive fine, but the delivery took longer than I was expecting. The tracking didn’t update much either, so for a few days I wasn’t really sure what was happening. Nothing was missing and the box was in decent shape, just not the fastest service. I’d probably order again, but not if I needed it in a hurry
"Fun track, but the app isn’t as reliable as I’d hoped"
The track itself is good fun when everything’s working, but the app connection is a bit hit and miss on my phone. Compared to other Bluetooth toys/apps I’ve used, this one seems to drop out more often. I usually have to try a few times to pair it again, which gets annoying after a while...

"Order was right, but delivery was slow"
Everything I ordered showed up and nothing was missing, so that part was fine. The box was in good shape too. It did take longer than expected to arrive, though, which was frustrating. I’m glad the order was correct, but I’d still appreciate some kind of compensation or credit for the delay.

"Surprisingly Well Packed"
My scalextric set actually arrived in perfect shape, which was a pleasant surprise for once. The box was sturdy, no dents anywhere, and everything inside was wrapped properly instead of just being thrown in and hoped for the best. Nice to see someone still takes a bit of care with packaging

"Seems Like It's Always Out of Stock"
I’ve checked back a few times now, and from what I remember, the stuff I actually want is almost always out of stock. This happened again recently, which was frustrating.

I ordered a couple of bits for my Scalextric set and everything turned up fine, no issues there. The shipping felt a little high for what I got, though, like, I know postage is what it is, but still. Not awful or anything. I’d probably use them again, especially if I was ordering enough stuff to make the delivery cost feel more worthwhile

"Spare parts are really hit or miss"
My experience with getting spare parts has been inconsistent. Sometimes it works out fine, other times it feels like a hassle for something that should be simple. What makes it more frustrating is getting the same canned apology instead of an actual update or solution. It could definitely be better.

The cars feel sturdy and the quality is generally good, but I do kind of regret not looking a little closer before buying. They’re nice enough, just not quite perfect.

My son managed to break one of our cars, so I needed to find a replacement. Scalextric had a decent selection, though it did take me a little while to look around and find the right match. Once I found it, everything went smoothly and delivery was fine. I’d say it’s worth a look if you need a spare.

"Missing clips made it frustrating"
I was excited to put this track set together, but once I started unpacking everything, I realized some of the clips were missing. Because of that, I couldn’t build it properly, which was frustrating after looking forward to using it

I picked up a new Scalextric set it’s been a lot of fun. The cars are fast, run smoothly, and stay on the track better than I thought they would. My son and I have already had a few really close races. The only times we’ve had cars fly off were going a bit too hard into the corners, which is preventable once you get the hang of it. Really happy with it overall.

"Warranty got sorted, but it dragged on"
I had to get in touch with Scalextric about a faulty car that was still under warranty. To be fair, they did sort it out in the end, so I can’t complain too much there. But the whole thing was slower than I expected, and I had to chase them once to get things moving. I also got a couple of those canned “sorry for the inconvenience” type replies, which always feel a bit pointless when you’re still waiting for an actual update. Not a terrible experience, just more hassle than I was hoping for.
